There are also diagonal withe and red stripes which look like scratches of a bear showing players’ bravery and boldness. The design takes inspiration from a bear that is a symbol of Madrid with long history and profound culture. Breathable blue stripe is placed on both sides of the shirt to make players dry and cool.
The shirt has a special V-collar and a small Spain national flag inlaid in the inside of the collar paying homage to the nation. The new badge of the club is used from 2017-2018 season and printed on the chest this time. The former badge was changed last year. New badge has three colors—red, white and blue, which come from well-known Atletico Madrid shirts. The iconic bear and strawberry tree highlight the connection between Atletico Madrid and the city of Madrid. The seven five-pointed stars are used again.
Blue shorts with red stripes and red socks with Nike Swoosh and “Atlético” complete the home kit. This new Nike Vapor shirt is the most advanced products showing Nike’s exquisite design and excellent workmanship.
